Hat Panare

Hat Panarae, Though the name is quite foreign to even the ears of the Thai, Panarae is the combination of two dialect Malay words: “Pata” or beach, and “Tanae” or fish net. Thus, “Patatanae” means a beach that is full of fish nets, which, in a way, is the symbol for fishermen. However, when time passes, “Patatanae” is changed to be “Panarae” as seen today. Hat Panarae is a fishing village. There are many fishing boats stationed along the beach. The beach is not suitable for swimming because of a lot of boats nearby. However, visitors can experience the authentic and traditional fisherman’s life which is one of the charming activities waiting for everyone in the South of Thailand. Besides, the fishing boat, or Ruea Ko Lae, is Pattani’s iconic fishing boat which cannot be found anywhere across the country but Pattani only. Hat Panarae is 3 kilometers away from the town. Visitors can take the same route as Talo Kapo Beach to here.
