Namtok Sukthalai (Namtok Kuelong)

Namtok Sukthalai (Namtok Kuelong) Since the geography of Yala province is mostly alternating mountains with tropical rain forest, it is the origin of many rivers such as Pattanee River. The originof the water of Namtok Sukthalai that flows into Pattanee River. The weather here is divided into 2 seasons which are rainy season and summer. This waterfall was discovered in 1964. It consists of 5 levels. The Queen offered the name “Sukthailai Waterfall”. It is a waterfall with beautiful scenery amidst various kinds of trees and flowers resulting the atmosphere here to be very shady with water flowing all year. It is suitable for nature lovers. This waterfall has a lot of water mass which is why it is very beautiful when the water hits the rocks. The tourists can swim here and after swimming there is a Sala for relaxing and dining. The tourists can visit here everyday. However, the tourists must be careful since every waterfall has mosses which make the rock slippy. It is located in the Phatthana Phak Tai Self-help Community on Khao Pok Yo, 40 km. from town along Yala-Betong route,with left turn for another 8 km.
