Hat Wat Tai is situated in Nai Mueang Sub-district, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Its entrance is near the Provincial Electricity Authority Office. This beach is another important tourist attraction in the heart of Ubon Ratchathani’s Mueang District. Hat Wat Tai is an island with small beach in the middle of the Mun River. One can see this island if he stands on Seriprachathippatai Bridge or Rattanakosin 200 Years Bridge, facing eastward. The appropriate time to visit Hat Wat Tai is between January and May because it is in drying season. The low water level of the Mun River reveals the smooth white sand. The beach, together with clear water and verdant trees on the island, can result in such an amusing atmosphere. On this small island, there are many interesting activities, such as a party among friends or family. There are restaurants on rafts provided. The visitors can try some traditional dishes made of fresh ingredients. The recommended dishes are Goong Ten (dancing shrimps) and grilled fish. Another activity is swimming. Hat Wat Tai is a beach with clear water, clean sand, and nice atmosphere. These factors make Hat Ban Tai a good place for swimming and lessening the heat. The last interesting activity is seeing the view during daytime. It is a suitable place for admiring the breath-taking scenery on the island. Wooden bridge and houseboats which scatter about possess simple patterns in harmony with the surrounding nature. In the evening, the tourists can watch the sunset in a beautiful angle. At night, the Mun River will reflect the lights on Seriprachathippatai Bridge, showing line of lights on the water surface. This is another form of beauty.
