Khit Pillow at Ban Sri Than

Ban Si Than is a village where local Thai-style pillows called Khit pillows are crafted. After harvest season is over, farmers with little else to do take on the production of these rectangular and triangular pillows. Yasothon is famed for these pillows, which are adorned with beautiful traditional patterns. The craft also gives farmers an opportunity to earn more during the agricultural off-season.At Ban Si Than, visitors can observe the production process as well as peruse store offerings. The pillows are gaining popularity overseas and are widely popular in Thailand as well. The village is located 20 kilometers from Yasothon town on the way to Amnat Charoen. Take Highway No. 202 (Yasothon-Pa Tio-Amnart Charoen), and turn right at Km. 18-19. Continue for 3 kilometers to reach Ban Si Than.
