The City Pillar Shrine of Chaopho Kut Pong

The City Pillar Shrine and Chaopho Kut Pong Shrine are the sacred shrines of people in Muang District since it is believed that angels are living here. The shines were repaired in 1982. Chaopho Kut Pong Shrine is located next to the City Pillar Shrine. Local people and tourists always visit these places. In the City Pillar Shrine and Chaopho Kut Pong Shrine are the sacred things that Loei people respects. Many animal statues such as elephants and horses have been given to the shrine. There are also other sacred statues such as Phra Sankachan who brings luck and happiness, Buddha statues. Singha statues are located at the door of the shrine due to Chinese belief. The public park is behind Chaopho Kut Pong Shrine. By public transportation, from the bus terminal, get on a yellow city bus to the public park and walk across the bridge to Chaopho Kut Pong Shrine.
