Wang Nam Yen Dairy Cooperative Limited is located at 669, Moo 1, on Chanthaburi-Sa Kaeo Road (Highway No. 317), at the Khlong Hat Intersection, Tambon Wang Mai, Amphoe Wang Nam Yen, Sa Kaeo. To get there, you can take public van leaving the Victory Monument in Bangkok for Wang Nam Yen Dairy Cooperative Limited, for 160 baht per person. The van leaves every 15 minutes. Wang Nam Yen Dairy Cooperative Limited is the second biggest dairy production venue of the country. It was established in 1987 to serve the farmers who face very low output, price and the exploitation of middlemen to change their career from agriculture to become dairy farmer.It was registered as cooperative on July 22, 1987 with 200 members, 1,000 cows and capital stock of 60,000 baht. Nowadays, it has over 1,300 members, 300 employees and 30,000 cows with a production capacity of 150 tons of raw milk a day. Its management system is so effective that the cooperative was chosen the national best cooperative of the year 1997. Its production process is conducted with quality, similar to the raw materials used. The milk, therefore, possesses a good taste and smell. Pasteurized products are delivered to schools, while the UHT ones are offered in front of the cooperative.
