Wat Sakae

The main Buddha image is a meditating Buddha, made of sandstone, named “Buddha Maha Mongkol”. The sanctuary was constructed using limestone and engraved wood.

In the past, Wat Sa Kae was known as Wat Klang Klong, which was according to the location of the temple in 1762. Luang Pho Buddha Maha Mongkol, the main Buddha image of this temple dating back to the period of Ayutthaya Kingdom, is a very well-known and widely revered by the locals in Baan Tambon Bang Len. Other famous tamulets of this temple are Phra Pong Phra Buddha Maha Mongkol and Luang Pho Sanitchittawangson Coins.
