Ratsada Market Ratsada is located on Ratsada Road, TambolBorHeaw, AmphoeMuangLampang, Lampang province. This market is regarded as an old landmark market in Lampang.The market is also known as Kat HuaKhua which means the market situated at the foot of the bridge. In order to visit Ratsada Market, one must cross the white bridge called “RatsadaPisek Bridge.” The bridge was built in order to celebrate the occasion that King Rama V had reingedlonger than any other kings prior to him. However, the bridge collapsed and was rebuilt in the reign of King Rama VI to be a white concrete bridge as it is appeared nowadays. At the other end of the bridge stands Ratsada Market.Ratsada Market is considered the most active morning market in the province. It operates before dawn, or around 5 a.m., until evening or 6 p.m. At dawn and in the late morning, you can find a wide range of stuff, for example, fresh products, local dishes and dessert, vegetables, fruits, insects, and mushrooms. Northern Thai sausage, or SaiOua, Thai sweet rice cracker, pork rind, and Moo yor, or pork roll, can also be found here. There is also special food which will be varies according to the season. If you visit the market in winter, you will find “Moo Nhao,” the delicacy that will be available only in winter. In the evening, mostly the ready-made food and snack are offered. Apart from the market, RatsadaPisek Bridge or KhuaLuang or SaparnKhao (White Bridge) is also a must see. A stunning view with early morning fog and sunlight, and the evening walk along Ping River should not be missed either!
