Sala Chalermkrung

Sala Chalermkrung is located on Jaroenkrung Road and Tripetch Road junction. It is an ancient amphitheater that has been with Bangkok for more than 80 years. Originally, Sala Chalermkrung was a theater for international movies. When the world has changed, many new theaters were built to substitute the old ones. However, Sala Chalermkrung is the national amphitheater for the Thai classical dance which is rare. Some shows at Sala Chalermkrung are such as “Hanumarn Chan Kamhaeng” directed by Supachai Chansuwan the national artist with music by Rohitajon Band. This show was fascinating and all correct according to the Thai culture. The playing is accurate and concise with Thai classical song.
